GAS COMPRESSION
Drive performance where it matters most—your market. SSL offers Gas Compression Systems that deliver powerful, efficient, and reliable compression solutions built to keep your operations ahead of demand. Engineered for uptime, designed for growth, trusted for results.
ABOUT GAS COMPRESSORS
A compressor can, in principle, be used in all applications and with all gases, regardless of gas composition, temperature, or molecular weight. We can integrate the compressors directly into a system, allowing our customers to automatically benefit from our extensive experience and expertise in plant engineering. Only when all system components are combined do they form a functioning, flawless system.
SSL provides robust air, process gas compression and industrial gas systems, providing application engineering, packaged solutions, commissioning, and lifecycle support for critical process industries.

TECHNOLOGIES AVAILABLE
PISTON COMPRESSORS
Piston compressors have a number of advantages over other compressor types, such as screw compressors or turbo compressors. For example, piston compressor technology is extremely robust and reliable.
Our piston compressors are exceptionally energy-efficient and can be flexibly adjusted to process changes. The precise controllability of the piston compressors allows for different suction and discharge pressures as well as adjustable flow rates.

DIAPHRAGM COMPRESSORS
Diaphragm compressors provide a lubricant and technical abrasion-free compression of gases and gas mixtures. As they operate leakage-free, they are particularly suitable for high-purity applications and for use with explosive, toxic and expensive gases. Our diaphragm compressors are suitable for compressing hydrogen, helium, argon, ethylene, fluorine, hydrogen sulfide, chlorine, monosilane, or nitrogen trifluoride.
COMPRESSORS COMBINATIONS
Our solutions include a wide range of high-pressure piston compressors and diaphragm compressors. From this broad range of compressors, the best possible compressor solution for the customer's specific requirements can usually be found. For especially demanding requirements, however, it may make sense to combine different compressor types.
APPLICATIONS
Gas compressors are widely used in the following industries and processes:
